Casal inglês tem gêmeos de cores diferentes pela 2ª vez / English couple has twins of different colors for the second time

Phenomenon is so unusual that there are no statistics on its probability.

A British couple challenged the likelihood and had twin sons of different skin colors for the second time. While newborn Miya has darker skin, like his father, Dean Durrant, her twin sister Leah has light skin, blue eyes and red hair, like her mother, Alison Spooner. His other daughters, also twins, born in 2001, had likewise a marked difference in skin tone and eye color.
"It's not easy to explain this. I'm still in shock, "said Durrant to Sky News. Children are the product of two separate fertilized eggs, so it's not unusual that do not match, but scientists say it is rare for a couple to have twins twice, and rarer still that they are so different.
"The birth of twins-identical is not very common. Non-identical twin children of interracial couples is even more unusual. Having two children resulting fertilized eggs of different colors are rarer still. Then see it happen twice should be a possibility in millions, "said Dr. Sarah Jarvis, of Britain's Royal College of General Practitioners.
The phenomenon is so unusual that no official statistics that illustrate its outlook, though it may be possible to point to an increase in frequency due to the increase in the number of interracial couples in the world.
The twins were born prematurely Miya and Leah in November in Frimley, southern England. They are already at home with his parents in Fleet, 40 miles from London.
