As discussões com a família da ex-companheira, juíza em Ílhavo, eram muitas e as oportunidades que Cláudio Rio Mendes, um advogado de 35 anos, tinha para ver a filha eram escassas. Ontem, durante uma visita à menina, de quatro anos, no parque da Mamarrosa, em Oliveira do Bairro, o clima de tensão aumentou e Cláudio foi executado com três tiros pelo ex-sogro, Ferreira Silva. O homicídio foi filmado por telemóvel pela sobrinha da namorada do advogado, filme esse entregue à PJ de Aveiro. A juíza assistiu a tudo.
Ferreira Silva, engenheiro, fugiu do local com a filha, Ana Carriço, a neta e uma tia. De seguida, ligou ao irmão da vítima, a quem relatou o crime. "É só para te dizer que o teu irmão está morto." O homicida, de 62 anos, dirigiu-se depois ao posto da GNR de Bustos, onde se entregou. À hora do fecho desta edição, estava a ser interrogado na Polícia Judiciária de Aveiro.
"Ouvi gritos e liguei para a GNR. A namorada da vítima estava em cima do corpo com um pano, a fazer pressão no peito", contou ao CM Susana Pato, que alertou as autoridades.
O crime ocorreu às 11h30, altura em que Cláudio se encontrou com a juíza Ana Carriço no parque da Mamarrosa. O ex-casal tinha um processo de regulação paternal a correr no tribunal, pelo que a vítima apenas poderia ver a filha quinzenalmente, durante uma hora. O encontro deveria ser num local público e ambos levavam testemunhas para evitar a tensão. Cláudio levou a namorada e a sobrinha dela; Ana foi com o pai e a tia-avó.
Durante o encontro, o advogado envolveu-se em confronto físico com a família da juíza. A sobrinha da namorada de Cláudio, 17 anos, gravava tudo. Até que, enfurecido e sem que nada o fizesse prever, Ferreira Silva pegou num revólver .32 e disparou cinco tiros. O primeiro atingiu Cláudio no peito; dois atingiram-no nas costas, quando tentava fugir; os outros dois não lhe acertaram. Enquanto o homicida e a família saíam do local do crime, a namorada de Cláudio tentava, em vão, salvá-lo.
