casamento anulado após mulher permanecer virgem por 5 anos / marriage annulled after woman remained a virgin for 5 years

A court in the city of Rosario in the Argentine province of Santa Fe, annulled a marriage to be observed clinically that the wife was still a virgin, after five years of marriage.

The Family Court of Brazil told the BBC that the court granted the request made by his wife, who claimed to want to have children this way and that "it would not be possible to build a family."

The decision was made in July, but released only last week. In the four-page ruling, the wife was identified by the initials DMC and her husband as DCS

D.M.C. told the judge that she met her husband in 1998 and who said he wanted to marry a virgin, for religious reasons.

The then-future husband accepted the request and the wedding took place in April 2005. She told the Court that almost four years later, in November 2008, had not had sex and no longer sleep together.

In the lawsuit, the woman told the Justice that her husband would be "powerless." The judge asked the couple for medical examinations to verify the accusation of his wife. In January 2009, DMC was submitted to gynecological examination which confirmed her virginity.

The husband, however, rejected the court order and did the tests ordered. According to the copy of the statements made to court the couple, the man reportedly stated that it was she who did not want to have sex, "because it gave him sick."
